22 — 26 July 2026 · Turku Archipelago
Five days of classic sailing across the Finnish archipelago — wooden hulls, long evenings, and the quiet rivalry of crews who love the old way of going to sea.
The Regatta
The Airisto Classic Regatta gathers the finest classic and vintage sailing yachts for five days of racing on the waters of Airisto, off Turku, Finland. Organised by Airisto Segelsällskap ASS and Ruissalon Telakka (Åbo Båtvarv), together with Åbo Båtvarfs Segel- och Sjöflygklubb ÅBSS, Turun Pursiseura TPS, Gullkrona Kryssarklubben GK, Turun Työväen Pursiseura TTPS and Hangö Segelförening HSF. The City of Turku is the event's main partner.
From varnished mahogany decks and hulls to precisely trimmed racing sails — the regatta honours the craft and spirit of traditional yacht racing, and cherishes its history and strong community both on the water and ashore.

Location
In his book Sommar och segel, Henrik Ramsay describes Airisto as a racing sailor's paradise, where demanding winds and a sharp swell put crews mercilessly in their order of merit. Even the passage from the regatta harbour out to Airisto is an experience few sailors will forget. From Airisto, just outside Turku, the regatta then sails through one of the largest archipelagos in the world — granite skerries, sheltered passages and the long Nordic summer light.
The Venue
An active classic-yacht yard and classic boat centre on Ruissalo island, just ten minutes from central Turku. Founded in 1899, the yard has built, wintered and restored wooden hulls for more than a century — and serves as the regatta's home harbour, race office and event hub.

The Organiser
Founded in 1898, Airisto Segelsällskap (ASS) is one of Finland's oldest yacht clubs — a Swedish-speaking sailing community based in Turku that has nurtured generations of sailors on the waters of the Airisto bay and the wider archipelago.
ASS has a proud tradition of organising international and national regattas — from classic metre-boat events to long-distance archipelago races and junior class regattas. The cooperation between ASS, the other clubs of the region and their active volunteers is the backbone of the Airisto Classic Regatta.
